Holly

Registered Dental Hygienist

Holly is a North Carolina native who recently relocated to Asheville. She received her dental hygiene degree from Guilford Technical Community College in Greensboro and has practiced since 2004 in Raleigh, Greensboro, and Salt Lake City, Utah, before moving to Asheville. Holly sees her career in dental hygiene as a way to nurture the community by fostering healthy smiles and broadening awareness of the systemic benefits of good oral health. She is an avid reader and enjoys playing the banjo, traveling, running, sewing, sport climbing and bouldering.


Teresa

Dental Assistant

Teresa is our primary chairside assistant and staff photographer.  She has worked as a dental assistant since 1999 and completed extensive continuing education in order to qualify in 2003 as a NC  Dental Assistant II.  She is happily married to Dan, and they are parents of three and grandparents of four. Their family extends from coast to coast and to Iraq, where son Jeff is currently serving. Teresa is an active member of the Women’s Bible Study Fellowship program at her church. She also enjoys hiking, camping, quilting, gardening, reading and photography.

Lindsay

Dental Assistant

Lindsay grew up in Bellbrook, Ohio, a small suburb outside of Dayton. She relocated to Asheville in 2002 to attend The University of North Carolina-Asheville, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from there in May, 2007. She is considering becoming a dentist. Lindsey is also a soccer referee for youth teams at the YMCA, and she enjoys hiking, painting, and walking her cat.

 

Amanda

Front Desk Assistant

Amanda has lived in the Asheville area for eight years.  She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, camping and water rafting in the mountains.  She also very much enjoys visiting her family at the beach, as well as sailing.  Amanda says, “Dentistry has always been important to me, because growing up, I knew what it was like to have teeth that were much less than perfect.  I would like to help people achieve their dental goals whenever possible."



Janna

Office Coordinator

Janna has been a patient and friend of Dr. Davis’ since 1982, and they married in 1988. Finding holistic and environmental dentistry a fascinating field, she joined him as office coordinator when he re-established his practice in Asheville.

“I feel very fortunate to be working in this area of health care. Regaining a healthy smile really can change someone’s life,” Janna says. “And I am especially grateful to the integrative health community in Asheville, where we have found such wonderful support for our patients and ourselves.”

Janna’s previous work included news reporting and editing, science writing for Clemson University, and more recently, communications for the Southern Appalachian Forest Coalition, which works to protect the region’s remaining natural forests. Her other interests include organic gardening, food, books, and outdoor recreation.

Snickers & Chip

On-site Therapy

Toy poodles Snickers and Chocolate Chip serve our patients and staff with pet therapy, a job to which their breed is well suited. These two are a natural in evoking the very best smiles!
